Role Objective:

The primary aim of this position is to engage in financial oversight activities to guarantee optimal use of the project's resources, encompassing both financial and human capital.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering management or a related field Bachelor's degree in commerce or a related field Valid White Card

Professional Experience:

Minimum of 7 years in a comparable role with a focus on financial oversight or project estimation in significant infrastructure initiatives, ideally within the construction sector Proven experience in large-scale construction projects or equivalent project work Proficient in Microsoft Excel and STR Vision CPM

Essential Skills and Competencies:

Proven capability to cultivate effective working relationships with operational management to deliver valuable management insights Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills A proactive mindset with the ability to adjust to shifting priorities Capacity to meet deadlines and commit the necessary effort to complete tasks. Strong mathematical and computer proficiency, including all MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) Effective verbal and written communication abilities Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Exceptional attention to detail with the capacity to identify discrepancies Proficiency in SAP

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the progress, analysis, and financial management of the project in alignment with the agreed budget and resources. Prepare and review the executive budget biannually or upon significant changes Analyze the differences between projected and actual costs related to personnel, inventory, and subcontractors on a monthly basis Collaborate with the project management team to ensure that expenditures remain within the project's financial plan Report to the Finance Manager for 'on purpose' analysis and forecasting Monitor the financial progress of the project Ensure that expenditures are accurately captured and recorded Conduct Gap Analysis of Financial Oversight Activities Visit and evaluate the Project's construction site to ensure adherence to financial control procedures Prepare production statistics Compile the monthly report Establish financial control protocols Determine optimal resource utilization
