Job Summary:

Webuild is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Controller to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the best utilization of project resources, both capital and labor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in cost controlling activities to ensure compliance with the project's budget and resources.
  • Prepare and review executive budgets on a regular basis.
  • Analyze variances between estimated and actual costs, including personnel, inventory, and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with the project management team to ensure expenditures are kept within the project's budget.
  • Report to the Finance Manager for 'on-purpose' analysis and forecast.
  • Monitor the monetary progress of the project.
  • Ensure expenditures are captured and recorded properly.
  • Conduct gap analysis of cost control activities.
  • Attend and audit the project's construction site to ensure cost control procedures are applied.
  • Prepare production statistics and monthly reports.
  • Establish cost control procedures and determine the best utilization of resources.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering management or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in commerce or equivalent.
  • White Card.
  • 7 years of experience in a similar role with experience in cost controlling or project estimating on major infrastructure projects.
  • Experience working on large-scale construction projects or other suitable projects.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and STR Vision CPM.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in SAP.
  • Strong mathematical and computer skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive approach with the capability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and put in the time needed to get the job done.
