Role Objective:

The primary aim of this position is to engage in cost management activities to guarantee optimal use of the project's resources, encompassing both financial and human capital.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering management or a related field Bachelor's degree in commerce or a related field Valid White Card

Professional Experience:

Minimum of 7 years in a comparable role with expertise in cost management or project estimation on significant infrastructure initiatives, ideally within the construction sector Proven experience in large-scale construction projects or similar endeavors Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and STR Vision CPM

Essential Skills:

Ability to cultivate effective working relationships with operational management to deliver valuable management insights Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills Proactive mindset with the flexibility to adjust to evolving priorities Capacity to meet deadlines and commit the necessary effort to accomplish tasks. Strong mathematical and computer skills, with proficiency in all MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) Effective verbal and written communication abilities Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Keen attention to detail with the capability to identify discrepancies Familiarity with SAP

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the progress, analysis, and financial management of the project in alignment with the approved budget and resources. Prepare and evaluate the executive budget biannually or following significant changes Analyze variances between projected and actual costs concerning personnel, inventory, and subcontractors on a monthly basis Collaborate with the project management team to ensure expenditures remain within the project's financial framework Report to the Finance Manager for 'on purpose' analysis and forecasting Monitor the financial progress of the project Ensure that expenditures are accurately captured and documented Conduct Gap Analysis of Cost Management Activities Visit and assess the Project's construction site to ensure adherence to cost management protocols Compile production statistics Generate the monthly report Establish cost management procedures Determine optimal resource utilization
