About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Controller to join our team at Webuild S.p.A. in a key role that will contribute to the success of our Snowy 2.0 project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in cost controlling activities to ensure the best utilization of project resources, including capital and labor.
  • Prepare and review executive budgets, analyzing variances between estimated and actual costs.
  • Coordinate with the project management team to ensure expenditures are kept within the project's budget.
  • Monitor monetary progress, ensuring expenditures are captured and recorded properly.
  • Conduct gap analysis of cost control activities and attend site audits to ensure cost control procedures are applied.
  • Prepare production statistics and monthly reports, establishing cost control procedures and determining the best utilization of resources.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering management or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in commerce or equivalent.
  • White Card.
  • 5 years of experience in a similar role with experience in cost controlling or project estimating on major infrastructure projects.
  • Experience working on large-scale construction projects or other suitable projects.
Competencies
  • Demonstrated ability to develop sound working relationships with operations management.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive approach with the capability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and put in the time needed to get the job done.
  • Possess strong mathematical and computer skills, proficiency with MS Office products, and effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal skills, and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in SAP.
