Job Title: Critical Infrastructure Monitor

This is a highly specialized role that involves monitoring and maintaining the security systems of a major commercial building in Melbourne CBD. As a member of our team, you will play a critical part in ensuring the safety and security of the building by overseeing the operation of integrated security systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor CCTV systems to detect and respond to incidents in real time.
  • Coordinate emergency responses, liaising with on-site personnel and emergency services as necessary.
  • Operate and maintain integrated security systems such as access control, alarm systems, and building management systems.
  • Log all incidents and activities, ensuring accurate and detailed record-keeping.
  • Manage communication networks, including the security radio system, with clarity and professionalism.
  • Oversee access control and ensure only authorized personnel enter secure areas.
  • Respond to alarms and trigger appropriate security and safety protocols as required.
  • Provide real-time situation reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with operational security procedures and protocols.
  • Support incident investigations through retrieval and provision of surveillance footage.
Requirements:
  • Current VIC Private Security Individual Licence with Control Room Operator designation.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
  • Working with Children Check.
  • Police Check.
  • Minimum 1 year Control Room experience.
  • Strong knowledge of CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
  • High attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and within a team.
  • Intermediate computer skills and familiarity with incident reporting systems.
