Job Title: Senior Legal Counsel, Risk

Montgomery Advisory is seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel, Risk to join their team. This is a contract role that will require the successful candidate to work until the end of 2024 with the possibility of extension.

About the Role

The Senior Legal Counsel, Risk will work closely with the head of compliance and the national team to build out and manage various risk programs focused on bribery, anti-corruption, competition, and anti-trust law. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of risk and compliance and be able to apply both legal and compliance issues across these programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
  • Collaborate with the broader business to identify risks and develop robust compliance strategies
  • Provide guidance to the business on legal and compliance issues
  • Work closely with the national team to build out and manage risk programs
Requirements

The successful candidate will be an Australian qualified lawyer with at least 8 years' experience in the risk & compliance sector. They will have a proven ability to develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, collaborative and strong influencing skills, an ability to work in a team environment, strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, high attention to detail, and advanced organisational and time-management skills.
