This role will work across the compliance and legal functions, building out and managing various risk programs, focused on bribery, anti-corruption, as well as competition, anti-trust law.

About the Role

This role will suit a senior level lawyer who can apply both the legal and compliance issues across these programs and provide guidance to the business. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of risk and compliance, with a proven ability to develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the national team to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, providing strategic insights and adding value to effectively implement strong compliance strategies.
  • Identify and document risks, managing any legal or operational issues that arise.
  • Engage with the wider business, providing critical and analytical thought, offering strategic insights grounded in a deep understanding of compliance and legal landscapes.

Requirements

  • Australian qualified lawyer with at least 8 years' experience in the risk & compliance sector.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Collaborative and strong influencing skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Advanced organisational and time-management skills.
