About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Operations Coordinator to join our team at our Launceston Depot.

As an Operations Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting our team of waste collection professionals to effectively manage daily operational goals.

You will be working with a safe, modern, and reliable fleet, serviced and maintained in our on-site workshops.

This is a permanent, full-time position (Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 4.30pm) with a competitive remuneration package and a range of benefits, including a uniform and PPE, essential services industry job stability, and career development and growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure the highest standards of customer service are met in managing customer requests.
  2. Respond to telephone and email enquiries in a timely manner.
  3. Establish and manage relationships with drivers, team members, customers, and local authorities.
  4. Check driver records (run sheets / fatigue).
  5. Report and investigate queries.
  6. Work to timelines to ensure work is completed.
  7. Daily payroll support (timesheets) & other tasks as required.
  8. Establish and manage relationships with customers and the public.
  9. Strive for improvement in operations while upholding a high level of safety at all times.
About You

We are looking for an individual with:

  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Transport & Logistics industry experience (preferred).
  • HR licence (or willingness to obtain).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • A commitment to achieving customer service of the highest standard.
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills with the ability to meet set deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of the Windows Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Maintain professional etiquette with effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Data entry skills and an eye for detail.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work well within a team and autonomously.
