Job Overview:

At the heart of every organization lies a network of skilled professionals who drive innovation, growth and success.

This role has responsibility for the development of strategic procurement pipelines, commercial management of contracts and sourcing strategies across business units with significant addressable spend.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader with highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, able to influence and negotiate effectively in a collaborative manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a team of procurement professionals to drive performance expectations, career progression and talent retention
  • Partner with leadership teams to contribute to business case development and support for growth initiatives
  • Advise stakeholders on effective sourcing strategies and negotiation plans
  • Drive supplier development and innovation for material and strategic suppliers
  • Manage risk associated with external spend through effective governance and contract management expertise
  • Ensure commercial sustainability by influencing supplier management and driving cost reduction targets

Requirements:

  • Significant leadership experience within large-scale matrix organizations
  • Effective project management skills and strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Strong understanding of risk management and ability to present at senior management level
  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business or Law preferred
