About this Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to provide direct support, care, and mentorship to children and young people living in Intensive Therapeutic Care homes across the Central Coast.
Some of the young people we care for may also have a disability or complex medical needs requiring specialized support, including personal care.
As a member of our team, you will be part of a dedicated group working to ensure a safe, homelike environment where these young people can thrive.
Key aspects of this role include supporting young people to learn independent life skills, develop problem-solving skills, and build positive relationships with others.
Our residential homes operate 24/7; therefore, it is essential that successful applicants are able and willing to work a roster that includes afternoon, sleepover, and weekend shifts.
Successful candidates will require a range of skills and qualifications, including:
- A Diploma in Community Services or a related field (or willingness to complete a Diploma offered by the organization)
- Current Provide First Aid and CPR certificates
- Experience with high behaviors and people with disabilities
- Australian Driver's Licence
Additionally, successful candidates will need to clear probity checks, including a National Criminal History Record Check and NSW Working with Children Check.
