Therapeutic Support Worker

This role involves providing direct care and supervision to young people in a residential setting. As a therapeutic support worker, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our clients.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively within a team environment, and have a passion for supporting vulnerable young people.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a therapeutic support worker and contribute to the delivery of high-quality services that promote the well-being and empowerment of our clients.

You will work closely with other professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans, provide emotional support and guidance, and promote a safe and positive living environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide direct care and supervision to young people in a residential setting.
  2. Develop and implement individualized care plans.
  3. Assist with daily activities, support their understanding of self-care, education, and recreational activities.
  4. Promote a safe and positive living environment.
  5. Build trusting relationships with young people, offering emotional support and guidance.
  6. Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Requirements
  • A valid NSW Paid Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or be willing and eligible to obtain one prior to commencement).
  • Consent to be added to the Residential Care Workers Register.
  • Availability to work across a full shift pattern (mornings, evenings, and sleepovers).
  • A valid Australian Drivers Licence and access to a vehicle (our house locations can be outside of public transport routes).
  • Attained or working towards a relevant Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or Certificate IV (Community Services, Youth/Social Work, etc.).
  • Experience working with young people/children.
  • Experience working in other support work-related fields (i.e., disability, mental health, aged care, and child care).
