Junior Application Specialist

We are seeking a junior application support specialist to join our organization. As an application support specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and troubleshooting to ensure the smooth operation of our applications.

Common activities include:

  • Application configuration and support (primary skill)
  • Application integration and development (secondary skill)
  • Application packaging and deployment (secondary skill)
  • Writing and contributing to support and design documentation
  • Contributing to solution designs
  • Active participation in Agile Ceremonies
  • Regular visits to sites and offices based in Scotland

Requirements and experience:

  • Strong technical curiosity backed up by solid technical capability
  • This role forms part of a 24 x 7 On Call support rota - Essential
  • Strong understanding of ITIL principles
  • Understanding working in a heavily regulated environment
  • Experience of Energy sector is preferable
  • Experience of working in Agile teams

About the Role

The Junior Application Specialist will provide technical assistance and troubleshooting to ensure the smooth operation of our applications. This includes application configuration and support, application integration and development, application packaging and deployment, writing and contributing to support and design documentation, contributing to solution designs, active participation in Agile Ceremonies, and regular visits to sites and offices based in Scotland.

Requirements
