Support Worker Job

We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team.

As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for assisting clients with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility assistance, and household tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other daily needs.
  • Mobility Assistance: Help clients with walking aids and transfers.
  • Emotional Support: Provide companionship and emotional support to foster a positive environment.
  • Household Tasks: Assist with meal preparation, cleaning, and managing medication.
  • Community Engagement: Accompany clients to social events, appointments, and community activities.
  • Communication: Work with family members, healthcare professionals, and support staff to develop individualized care plans.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of client progress and care provided.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in disability support or related field is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, empathy, and patience; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • NDIS Workers Orientation Module Certificate.
  • NDIS Screening Check.
  • National Police Check.
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
  • Current Driver's License without restrictions.
  • Comprehensive Car Insurance.
  • Ability to administer medications and assist with manual handling.

This is a casual position requiring at least 24 hours per week.
