Job Title: Video Conferencing Technical Specialist

Job Description:

The Department of Justice and Community Services is seeking a skilled technical professional to join their team as a Video Conferencing Technical Specialist. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the operational readiness of the Victorian prison video conferencing network.

As a Video Conferencing Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the technical infrastructure of the video conferencing system. This includes identifying new equipment and technologies that provide fit-for-service solutions and developing modifications to equipment and system architecture to increase serviceability within the prison environment.

You will also be responsible for managing and monitoring ongoing operations of video conferencing system administration tools to ensure instances of system failure are identified and rectified in a timely and effective manner.

This role requires a high level of technical expertise and knowledge of video conferencing systems and equipment, particularly Cisco video conferencing infrastructure systems. Experience working with relevant Cisco systems is highly desirable.

Additionally, this role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including Corrections Victoria staff, to ensure seamless integration and operation of the video conferencing system.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Established and specialized technical knowledge of video conferencing systems and equipment
  • Demonstrated experience in the technical use and support of Cisco video conferencing infrastructure systems
  • Operational experience within the Victorian prison and/or court systems is desirable
  • Demonstrated equivalent technology-related experience working with relevant Cisco systems is highly desirable
