Position Summary
We are seeking a Group Chief Financial Officer to spearhead financial strategies for a rapidly expanding Australian RTW brand with a robust retail presence.
In this pivotal role, the Chief Financial Officer will oversee the development, management, and execution of the organization's financial strategies.
Reporting directly to the CEO and collaborating with other executives, the CFO will serve as a vital member of the executive leadership team, providing commercial insights and support across all financial, accounting, and operational domains to ensure that planning, budgeting, operations, sales, and marketing efforts align with the company's revenue and growth objectives.
The ideal candidate will lead and nurture the finance team to uphold the integrity of financial management information, ensuring compliance with taxation and other regulatory requirements.
Additionally, the CFO will enhance overall administrative processes, internal controls, and finance-related IT systems, implementing effective financial reporting tools, dashboards, and templates throughout the organization.
With a deep understanding of business operations, the Chief Financial Officer will actively drive strategic planning, budgeting, and performance evaluation processes, taking responsibility for assessing and reporting on the financial implications of proposed developments, new store openings, capital investments, or the acquisition and divestiture of assets or businesses.
Furthermore, they will ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory compliance both domestically and internationally, acting as a key liaison for external advisors, including legal counsel, auditors, and financial institutions.
The successful candidate will be a certified practicing accountant with at least 5 years of experience in a financial management role within a retail specialty or FMCG environment, ideally in a global context.
Exceptional problem-solving skills, analytical and technical proficiency, strong IT and numerical capabilities, and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles are essential. The candidate should also possess excellent communication and leadership skills.
