Job Description

This role will give you the opportunity to enter the dynamic environment of trading with a team of knowledgeable professionals, where you will work 5 days/week on the Trading Floor of our CBD office.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Compile and Reconcile Trades: Analyze trade transactions and positions for accuracy.
  • Prepare Submissions: Submit Creation and Redemption instructions for proprietary trading under the guidance of traders.
  • Maintain Data: Assist with updating position, P&L, and information exchange systems.
  • Algorithmic Trading Tools: Use tools under instruction from traders to enhance trading operations.
  • System Management: Update and manage all trading systems, proprietary trading applications, and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Liaison Role: Act as liaison between desk traders and other departments, facilitating smooth communication and information exchange.

What We're Looking For
  • Experience: At least 2 years' experience in a trade support/product control/trader's assistant role for derivatives trading (e.g., Recs, Settlements, Pricing, PnL reporting).
  • Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of Options/Futures/Derivatives products.
  • Educational Background: Relevant degree (e.g., Finance, Commerce/Business, Actuarial).
  • Technical Skills: Working experience with Python/VBA/SQL.
  • Soft Skills: Very high attention to detail, strong analytical, and problem-solving capabilities; fluent English skills; and full Australian working rights.
Key Facts

This role does not offer a direct pathway into trading positions. Trading roles are hired separately through Grad/Internship Programs.

The salary range for this position is AU$ 80,000 - AU$110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
