Responsibilities
  • Support the legal and business teams by reviewing, drafting, and negotiating ISDA agreements with an emphasis on commodities and metals.
  • Draft and negotiate OTC commodity derivatives documentation, including ISDAs, CSAs, control agreements, confidentiality agreements, collateral agreements, risk participation agreements, give-up agreements, confirmations, and ancillary documentation.
  • Provide legal counsel to internal business leaders and external counsel to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures and federal and international rules and regulations.
  • Assist in implementing new initiatives, processes, or protocols in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience practicing law, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience negotiating ISDA agreements, ideally within a large investment bank.
  • Firm understanding of the regulatory landscape impacting derivatives and commodities capital markets and ability to provide sound legal advice.
  • Excellent knowledge of OTC derivatives documentation, with experience in commodities or metals being beneficial.
  • Sound judgment, strong organisational skills, and ability to prioritise matters in a busy environment.

Estimated salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
