Disability Support Specialist

Ability Action Australia is seeking an experienced Disability Support Specialist to join our team as a Behaviour Support Practitioner. This role will involve working with individuals with disability and their families, developing and implementing support plans, and advocating for best practice.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality services, has excellent communication skills, and is able to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and develop evidence-based support plans for individuals with disability
- Assist individuals and their families in identifying needs and developing person-centred goals
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver services that meet the needs of individuals with disability
- Current suitability at the Proficient level as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission
- Completed degree-level qualification as an allied health professional
- NDIS report writing experience
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Proactive attitude and genuine passion for working in the disability sector
- Competitive salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience
