Job Role: IT Infrastructure Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Support Technician to join our team as an IT Infrastructure Support Specialist.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the school's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and desktop computers. This includes providing technical support to staff and students with a variety of IT issues, troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software problems, installing and configuring new hardware and software, and maintaining the school's IT documentation.

  • Maintain and support the school's IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and optimal performance.
  • Provide technical assistance to staff and students with IT-related queries and issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software problems in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Install and configure new hardware and software solutions to meet the evolving needs of the school community.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in an educational setting is highly desirable, but not essential.
  • Strong knowledge of wireless deployment and Department initiatives is a must.
  • Previous experience with planning, deployment, and management of 1-to-1 user devices in a high-quality school environment is highly valued.
  • Able to plan and deliver ICT professional development sessions and collaborate effectively with schools' ICT Management, teaching, and learning teams.
  • Innovative thinker with a passion for expanding and improving ICT services to ensure high-quality experiences for students and staff.
  • Skilled manager of ICT infrastructure and equipment, with a focus on developing student learning opportunities and ensuring compliance with DET policies and procedures.
