Job Description:

As an Engagement and Marketing Officer, you will play a vital role in identifying, planning, delivering, and evaluating community engagement activities to enhance public participation and strengthen the connection between stakeholders.

The position requires proactive communication approach ensuring that the community is informed and engaged while showcasing unique attributes.

You will be responsible for acting as a point of contact for internal and external engagement enquiries and promoting Council's role, projects, activities, and services to the local and wider community.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Developing engagement plans utilizing time-sensitive written materials to promote Council events and activities
  • Developing and assisting with design, production, and distribution of promotional and marketing material for tourism purposes including relevant websites and social media presence
  • Assisting and improving Council's engagement processes to ensure needs of the local community are reflected during initiative development
  • Representing Council at stakeholder events including community meetings and expos maintaining Narrabri Shire's corporate image and complying with relevant policies and procedures
