Job Title: Community Care Specialist We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Community Care Specialist. This rewarding role involves working with clients in foster care, providing supervised visits, transportation, and mentoring services. Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise visits between children in foster care and their families.
  • Provide transportation for children in care to appointments or visits.
  • Mentor children in foster care to promote their well-being and development.
  • Establish positive relationships with clients, staff, and other organizations.
  • Promote our services positively to the community.
  • Acknowledge client safety and intervene where necessary.
  • Accurately report observations, risks, and interactions.
 Requirements:
  • Tertiary education in social work, psychology, or community services, or equivalent experience.
  • Valid NSW Driver's license.
  • Knowledge of mental health and its impacts.
  • Rapport establishment skills and respectful communication.
  • Experience relating to and building rapport with people.
  • Knowledge of the child protection system.
  • Excellent observation and written verbal skills.
  • Working with Children's Check.
  • First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain.
