Business Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Specialist to join our Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) Startup team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and adoption of AWS services among startups in the APJ region.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to position AWS as the cloud provider of choice for startups.
- Build and maintain relationships with startup executives and developers to understand their technology needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with AWS Product and Technical teams to create innovative solutions that solve customer problems.
- Work with Marketing to develop and align digital marketing campaigns to drive awareness and demand for AWS services.
- Own the GTM strategy and execution for Amazon Bedrock in the APJ region, collaborating with teams in the field including Sales, Partners, Marketing, and other Specialists.
The WWSO Startup team is dedicated to helping startups adopt AWS technologies and scale quickly and cost-effectively. We are a team of technology specialists who are passionate about helping startups grow and succeed.

- 7+ years of relevant GTM, Sales, or Consulting experience.
- 5+ years of technology domain experience in LLM, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and GenAI related fields.
- Bachelor's Degree Required.
- Startup background and experience at a VC or PE-backed firm in a Product, BD, or Sales Executive capacity.
- Established track record of building rapport with startup executives and closing strategic deals.
- Familiarity with open-source software used by startups and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
- Strong data-based storytelling skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with startup executives and developers.
- Recognized industry expertise in primary discipline(s) with proven public speaking prowess.
- Cloud expertise as demonstrated by one or more cloud certifications.
- A Advanced degree highly preferred, especially an MBA or MS in CS or Engineering.
