Job Overview

This role supports the organisation's commitment to health, safety and wellbeing by implementing and maintaining systems and processes to provide a safe and healthy work environment.

The successful candidate will assist with the delivery of the health, safety and wellbeing strategy across all business units, engage with managers and stakeholders to drive improvements in health, safety and wellbeing performance and outcomes, and collaborate with other areas of the broader Health Safety and Wellbeing Team.

  • Develop and deliver health, safety and wellbeing initiatives across the organisation.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Pursue research projects, prepare reports and presentations, and investigate serious incidents.
  • Provide expert advice and strategic direction on health and safety matters.
  • Travel may be required from time to time.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as occupational health and safety or a related discipline.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong ability to manage external relationships and stakeholders.
  • Able to prioritise tasks and manage competing work streams effectively.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Broad knowledge of health and safety laws and regulations.
  • Prior experience in a health and safety role is highly desirable.
