Imaging Services Leader

 

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to lead our imaging services team as Chief Radiographer. As the deputy to the Regional Services Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technical direction and contributing to the operational efficiency of our medical imaging services.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high-quality efficient medical imaging services to patients and referrers.
  • Co-ordinate and supervise operational activities of the Medical Imaging Technologist (MIT), Clinical Assistants, and Patient Care Assistant teams.
  • Develop and maintain rosters for clinical staff.
  • Ensure safe and efficient use of equipment, resolving faults and advising management.
  • Assist with ongoing growth and development of radiology services.
  • Oversee quality assurance monitoring and physicist testing across site.
  • Liaise with Radiologists, modality supervisors, and staff.

 

Requirements:

  • 10+ years' experience in radiology practice with expertise in day-to-day operations of specialist areas.
  • Proven leadership ability, proficient in supervising staff.
  • Demonstrated training and teaching skills for undergraduate and postgraduate staff.
  • High-level competence in General X-ray, DEXA, CT, Fluoroscopy, Angiography, and Mammography.
  • Degree qualified in Medical Imaging.
  • Strong working knowledge and experience with RIS/PACS.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with effective communication and relationship-building.
  • Demonstrated patient-focused approach with genuine empathy and interest in patient needs.
