We are seeking a highly skilled Glaucoma Support Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing guidance, education and support to individuals affected by glaucoma. This part-time position involves working remotely or in a hybrid environment based in Sydney.

  • Provide comprehensive support to individuals with glaucoma, including prompt response to enquiries via multiple channels, regular follow-ups and accurate record-keeping
  • Moderate online communities to ensure a safe and supportive environment for individuals affected by glaucoma
  • Support educational events and webinars to promote awareness and understanding of glaucoma
  • Provide education and support regarding relevant eye health products available through our online store
  • Coordinate a team of dedicated Clinical Students and Volunteers, providing training and support to ensure they can effectively assist individuals with glaucoma
  • Represent our organization at industry events and conferences to promote our programs and services
  • Contribute to develop and coordinate educational programs for orthoptic students
  • Cultivate partnerships with healthcare professionals, pharmaceutical companies and peak bodies to advance organizational goals
  • Forge relationships with universities offering orthoptics and optometry programs to facilitate student placements
  • Develop alliances with major public hospitals and eye clinics to disseminate glaucoma education
