As a skilled clinical orthoptist, you have the unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals affected by glaucoma. This exciting role will see you play a pivotal part in managing our dedicated patient support program, empowering individuals to manage their condition effectively and preserve their sight.

About the Role

Reporting to our senior orthoptists/orthoptic team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing comprehensive guidance and education to individuals with glaucoma, including prompt response to enquiries via multiple channels, regular follow-ups and accurate record-keeping.
  • Moderating our online community forums to ensure a safe and supportive environment for users.
  • Supporting our team for live educational events and providing pre-sale and post-sale education and support regarding relevant eye health products available through our online store.
  • Coordinating a team of dedicated students and volunteers, providing training and support to ensure they can effectively assist individuals with glaucoma.
  • Representing our organisation at industry events and conferences to promote our patient support program.
  • Contributing to the development and coordination of an orthoptic student education program.
  • Cultivating partnerships with healthcare professionals, pharmaceutical companies and peak bodies to advance organisational goals.
  • Developing alliances with universities offering orthoptics and optometry programs to facilitate student placements.
  • Assisting in organising local community education events in collaboration with health professionals and patients.
