About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to join our dedicated Housekeeping Team as a Housekeeping Team Lead/Facilities Supervisor.

This role involves preparing morning reports, assisting the Head of Department with team productivity and motivation, and maintaining departmental budgets. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating work activities, conducting daily meetings, and ensuring compliance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate morning reports on occupied, vacant, check-out, and out-of-order rooms for the Housekeeping Department.
  • Assist the Head of Department in developing and implementing strategies to increase team productivity and morale.
  • Coordinate all work activities, ensuring adherence to department procedures and daily tasks are completed according to company standards.
  • Conduct regular checks to ensure facilities are cleaned and maintained in accordance with Work Health and Safety regulations.
  • Assist in controlling housekeeping inventory, including chemicals, linen, and supplies.
  • React professionally to guest complaints, ensuring follow-up and informing the Executive Housekeeper.
  • Liaise closely with the Front Office Manager and Maintenance Manager to ensure smooth room changes.
  • Participate in scheduled training programs to improve self and department standards.
  • Conduct timely performance development appraisals for housekeeping team members.

Requirements

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills with previous Housekeeping leadership experience.
  • Excellent grooming and presentation skills.
  • A person who is not only a leader but also a team player, willing to get hands-on to see their team succeed.
  • Ability to think quickly and make sound decisions in fast-paced environments.
  • Highly organized with strong time management skills.

Compensation Package

The successful candidate can expect a base hourly rate of $28.87, equivalent to $57,047.12 - $67,000 per year, depending on working days and penalties applicable under the Hospitality Industry General Award.
