About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Operations Team Lead to spearhead our sustainable steel solutions initiative at GFG Alliance. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to drive business growth while fostering a culture of environmental stewardship.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a high-performing team of operations professionals, driving process improvements, and ensuring seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the operations team, promoting a customer-centric culture and excellence in all aspects of operations
  • Develop and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality, resulting in significant cost savings and revenue growth
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key customers, industry partners, and stakeholders, negotiating project requirements, timelines, and quality to meet their needs
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, allocating resources effectively to ensure consistent service delivery and minimize production costs
  • Drive workplace health and safety initiatives, continuously monitoring and improving the work environment to maintain a healthy and safe workspace

To succeed in this role, you will possess a proven track record in operations management, demonstrated expertise in process improvement, and a strong ability to communicate complex ideas to diverse stakeholders. Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in operations management, with a focus on process improvement and team leadership
  • Strong technical knowledge of the steel manufacturing industry or exposure to engineering principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and manage complex projects
  • Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights to drive business growth
  • Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility
