Associate Director Quality

Job Description:

The Quality Department is a cornerstone member of the Melbourne Children's Campus, partnering with Murdoch Children's Research Institute and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics.

As a key member of the senior leadership team, the Associate Director Quality (Patient Safety) will lead contemporary patient safety practices, support quality systems relating to patient safety and drive a just culture and learning culture to support high-quality safe care.

  • A focus on supporting the delivery of high-quality, safe care and success with relevant accreditation schemes.
  • Oversight of quality systems including adverse patient safety events management and governance.
  • Leadership and support of committees that support high-quality, safe care.
  • Clinical governance support for the Division of Critical Care and Ambulatory Care.
  • Quality and improvement support of the People and Culture and Strategy, Planning and Performance Divisions.
Required Skills:

Leadership skills are essential to successfully manage a team and implement quality improvements. Strong communication skills, ability to analyze data and identify trends, problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders are also crucial.
