As a field service professional, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the safety and efficiency of power networks while minimizing environmental impact.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join our High Voltage business as a Service Technician. We are looking for an experienced individual who is willing to travel around Australia to perform work at customer sites and in workshops.

  • Carry out service works, such as installation, commissioning, maintenance, repair work and other service-related activities on High Voltage Switchgear associated with Transmission and Generation industries, diagnose technical problems, determine, and implement corrective actions.
  • Execute service activities at workshops and at customer sites on time within expected quality and focus on safety, do end-to-end management of Service activities including coordination with customers and all stakeholders.
  • Maintain and strengthen working relationships with customers.
  • Interact with and support the sales team on potential business opportunities, prepare all financial, technical documents and reports associated with service activities.
  • Proactively identify and participate in performance improvements within the business to enhance operations and customer service.
  • Undertake Product training to develop skill sets, further enhance product knowledge and grow as a product specialist.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or Diploma or TAFE qualification is preferred.
  • Minimum experience of 5+ years in a similar role within the Power Industry.
  • Exposure to High Voltage Gas Insulated Switchgear or Generator Circuit Breaker Switchgear field work is an advantage.
  • Customer focused, ability to communicate effectively, work within a team, and follow instructions as well as being able to work individually.
  • Flexible travel interstate and international for service jobs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Prepare and submit reports and documents related to service activities.
  • Identify opportunities for performance improvement and implement changes to enhance operations and customer service.
