Logistics Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Logistics Coordinator to play a key role in delivering success on-site.

  • Oversee equipment logistics, inspections, storage, and movement to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operations.
  • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to deliver vital equipment directly to project warehouses.
  • Work alongside engineers, suppliers, and warehouse teams to implement best-practice logistics procedures around safety, environment, and document control.
  • Lead by example in applying WHS standards and promoting a strong safety-first culture.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the safe and timely delivery of equipment to work areas.
  • Manage inspections, labelling, warranty records, storage, and quality control to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Repackage and prepare equipment for long-term storage and transport.
  • Develop and implement logistics procedures to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in warehouse and logistics coordination is essential.
  • Current forklift and overhead crane ticket/licence is required.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across functions.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and parts lists.
  • Experience with computerised tracking/barcoding systems is an advantage.
