About the Opportunity:

  • Collaborate with a dedicated team to support the transition of children from residential care to foster care placements, promoting stability and continuity.
  • Provide ongoing guidance and resources to carers, recruit new carers and establish connections with external agencies and professionals.
  • Engage in regular meetings, supervision and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Hold relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, welfare or related disciplines and possess significant experience.
  • Demonstrate ability to provide supportive services to children, families and carers in out-of-home care, focusing on empowerment and protection.
  • Exhibit highly developed interpersonal skills, effective communication, organisational and planning abilities.
  • Work collaboratively within a care team framework, engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including Child Protection.
  • Effectively manage time and workload under general supervision.
