Our organisation seeks a Contract and Commercial Advisor to contribute to its Defence Aviation business. This role offers a secure and expanding industry with opportunities for personal growth and stability.

As a key member of our team, you will maintain a well-developed understanding of relevant legislative frameworks domestically and internationally. Occasional travel is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and managing contract arrangements, commercial plans and approaches
  • Serving as the primary customer contact for related matters on contracts
  • Providing regular updates on contract management and program performance
  • Updating stakeholders on activities, status or critical issues
  • Offering strategic and tactical advice on business development activities
  • Collaborating with the team to negotiate terms with customers and suppliers
  • Coordinating, administering and reporting on contracts and agreements for aircraft equipment
  • Managing reporting including administration of CCPs, APVs and Risk Analysis as required
  • Coordinating, administration and management of contractual agreements

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a discipline aligned with the role
  • Essential commercial experience with defence and/or ASDEFCON knowledge
  • Contract management experience in contract development, management and closure
  • Ability to identify cost drivers and perform cost analysis under commercial agreements
  • Expertise in developing contract terms, conditions and identifying associated commercial risk
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to prepare and present concise oral and written reports to internal and external stakeholders
