Role Overview:

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on our maintenance operations. We are looking for a qualified and multi-skilled Maintenance Fitter to maintain and repair various manufacturing equipment, implement safety management practices, manage maintenance activities to meet production targets and minimize downtime.

The successful candidate will work closely with the production team to ensure the smooth operation of equipment, implement planned preventative maintenance programs, and schedule maintenance activities accordingly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair various manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
  • Implement safety management practices to ensure a safe working environment and comply with relevant regulations.
  • Manage maintenance activities to meet production targets and minimize downtime, ensuring the efficient operation of equipment and processes.
  • Work closely with the production team to resolve equipment issues promptly and prevent future problems.
  • Schedule maintenance activities to meet production requirements and optimize equipment performance.

Requirements:

  • A mechanical trade qualification (essential) and relevant tickets or certifications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies and legislation.
  • Experience with production and maintenance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including planned preventative maintenance programs.
  • Proficient computing skills, preferably with Microsoft Office, Guardian, and Dynamics 365 programs.
  • Ability to work under pressure and communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
  • Over 2 years of industry experience, including working with manufacturing and maintenance teams.
  • A current valid driver's license and forklift license (HRW).
  • A Boiler Operator's license is preferred but not essential.
