The Qantas Group's main business is the transportation of customers and freight using two complementary airline brands — Qantas and Jetstar — operating regional, domestic, and international services.Job DescriptionTake pride in maintaining our Ground Support Equipment (GSE), both corrective and preventativePermanent, Full-Time position based in Mascot, NSWAttractive shift work hours to assist with Work/Life balance, alongside industry discounts and travel benefitsWe're committed to providing a safe and injury-free workplace through world-class safety practices, integrating operational safety into all our business activities.Located in our Ground Support team, your role as a Ground Support Equipment Technician will see you upholding all maintenance-both corrective and preventative, on motorised and non-motorised vehicles and equipment.
You will also be responsible for using the IFS Maintenance system to capture maintenance activities.
You will be working in a fast-paced environment with a range of stakeholders across engineering, airports and freight ensuring service level agreements are met with the highest standard of safety and compliance.You'll have –A trade certificate in Automotive, boilermaker, or equivalent (heavy stream preferred), with a minimum of 3 years post trade experience preferablyFabrication and welding experience will be highly regardedDiagnostic and repair skills with an understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems is desirableThe ability to adapt under pressure in a fast-paced environmentDedication to maintaining safe work practices and environmentExcellent communication skills with a strong customer focusSound computer literacyAbility to work shift work – mornings and afternoonsPrevious ground support equipment maintenance experience (advantageous)An Elevated Work Platform (EWP) ticket is highly desirableA Forklift license (highly desirable)Why Qantas?
