
Financial Crime Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the Financial Crime Reforms department. The role involves monitoring risk appetite settings, advising on risk-based controls, and providing policy guidance.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in compliance risk management, deep knowledge of AML/CTF requirements, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for driving engagement and motivation across the team, working collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver our strategic financial crime agenda.
The successful candidate will be able to balance multiple priorities in a fast-moving and demanding environment, with strong emotional intelligence and self-motivation.

Key Responsibilities- Monitor risk appetite settings and tolerances.
- Advise and challenge enabling units on risk-based controls and operational processes.
- Provide policy guidance, definition, and interpretation assistance.
- Perform oversight activities to ensure escalation, recording, reporting, and remediation of AML & Fraud issues.
- Assess risks in business activities, initiatives, and projects.
- Work as an effective team member, supporting peers and recognising contributions to achieve team goals.
- Proven experience in compliance risk management, preferably in financial crime risk in Banking, Financial Services or Consulting.
- Deep knowledge of AML/CTF requirements and regulation locally and globally.
- Ability to provide verbal and/or written advice and guidance on financial crime matters.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, influencing and negotiating abilities, and time management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-moving and demanding environment.
