Role Overview

The Financial Services Officer will assist with the processing of applications for trade accounts, financing products, member terminations, and share-related transactions. This role will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure an exceptional experience for our Members. Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing and evaluating all credit applications and legal entity changes in accordance with service level agreements.
  • Verifying that all application information is complete and accurate, ensuring compliance with verification standards.
  • Conducting inquiries on regulatory websites and obtaining property reports for potential memberships.
  • Utilizing online decision-making tools to prepare for the credit approval process.
  • Reviewing Members' financial documents and preparing business cases for necessary approvals.
  • Addressing application issues through effective communication with the sales team or Members.
  • Delivering outstanding customer service to all stakeholders.
  • Assisting in the preparation and processing of finance applications from initiation to settlement.
  • Maintaining professional relationships with internal teams, including Credit and Compliance, to ensure compliance and accurate assessments.
  • Building strong connections with internal departments and Capital Equipment Suppliers.
  • Processing member terminations within required timeframes.
  • Updating member accounts and supplier communications as necessary.
  • Performing additional clerical duties as needed.
  • Handling share-related transactions.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills, enabling effective interaction with both internal and external parties.
  • Up to 2 years of experience in a lending capacity; however, candidates with relevant skills may still be considered.
  • A proven focus on service delivery in the processing of credit applications.

Educational Requirements

A Certificate IV or higher in Financial Services is required.
