Job Title: Senior Financial Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our team at Mineral Mining Services. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for owning the financial reporting of the group, including corporate accounting, regulatory reporting, insurance, budget and cash flow preparation, and the continued development of internal systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Month-end closing processes, profit & loss, balance sheet reconciliations, and accruals for the Group
  • Preparation of monthly Consolidated Group Management Reports
  • Preparation of joint venture monthly reporting
  • Support the development and implementation of financial strategies and financial systems to support the company's growth objectives
  • Support the development of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Preparation of YE statutory financial statements and support YE external audit process
  • Preparation and meet deadlines for BAS returns, FBT returns, PAYG, Payroll Tax, and Superannuation and other statutory obligations
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision making by senior management
  • Other ad hoc items as instructed by Chief Financial Officer
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • CA or CPA qualified
  • Strong proficiency in financial modelling, data analysis, and financial reporting
  • Systems strength is essential
  • Minimum 5+ years experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics BC 365 is desirable
  • Unrivalled attention to detail required
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
