Role Overview
As a Senior Transmission Program Leader, you will be expected to possess:
- Extensive experience in the energy sector, particularly with in-depth knowledge of Transmission & Distribution projects, programs, and portfolios. Familiarity with the development and implementation of Clean Energy and Storage initiatives linked to the grid is highly desirable.
- Established connections with state, national, and international clients, along with a comprehensive understanding of the strategic, operational, and delivery requirements for capital projects and programs.
- Proven experience in leading teams and providing expert guidance on complex projects throughout the electricity sector, from initial pursuits and bids to execution and delivery.
- A solid technical foundation in Project Management, Commercial Management, and Project Controls, along with insights into engineering and grid compliance.
- Experience in pursuing and responding to government-style tenders.
- A demonstrated history of driving business growth and expanding market share within the Transmission sector.
- The ability to engage at an industry level, representing the organization and enhancing brand visibility at key industry events.
- A willingness to travel throughout Australia & New Zealand to support the growth of our Transmission sector offerings.
Qualifications
- Over 20 years of relevant industry experience, primarily in Energy and Transmission.
- A recognized degree in Project Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- An electrical technical background, while not mandatory, will be considered advantageous for this role.
- Experience in the transmission sector, with a proven ability to successfully deliver major projects and programs.
- A broad understanding of the electricity value chain, from generation through to supply, as well as regulatory and permitting requirements and industry trends.
- Preference for candidates with Australian experience and an established network within the power and transmission industry supply chain.
- Experience working in both client and consultancy environments is an advantage.
- A proactive approach to business development, including new and existing client engagement, cross-selling opportunities, and leading pursuits and tenders.
- A commitment to mentoring team members and future generations.
