About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Transport Operations Supervisor to join our team at BagTrans. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and productive operation of our transport operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management: Ensure the smooth operation of our transport operations, including the loading and unloading of freight, management of equipment, and supervision of staff.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead and manage a team of staff, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all operations are conducted in a safe and compliant manner, adhering to relevant regulations and standards.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and manage performance metrics, including KPIs and targets, to ensure that operations are meeting expectations.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with staff, management, and other stakeholders to ensure that operations are running smoothly and that issues are addressed promptly.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience in a transport operations role, with a proven track record of leadership and management.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, management, and other stakeholders. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Qualifications: Forklift license desirable.
