About the Role

The Compliance Support Manager is a key position within our team at Connective Broker Services Pty, responsible for advising our broker members on all compliance matters related to the legislative and regulatory requirements within consumer credit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and embed a strong compliance culture through coaching and training of a member portfolio
  • Identify and monitor regulatory changes, standards, and internal policies, ensuring all requirements are clear and understood by key stakeholders
  • Undertake risk and compliance activity, including approval of marketing materials, loan file reviews, investigations, compliance risk assessments, and review members' compliance with credit licence requirements
  • Monitor and review ongoing compliance obligations of Connective's credit representatives and appropriately document findings
  • Ensure the regulatory requirements applicable to credit representatives and licensees are communicated, with instances of non-compliance managed accordingly
  • Present to external stakeholders on key compliance requirements and best practice
  • Actively assist and participate in various compliance-related projects and initiatives across the Connective Group

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years' experience in governance, risk, and/or compliance roles
  • A minimum of two years' experience in NCCP compliance management within the finance or banking industry
  • Strong knowledge of the Australian regulatory landscape
  • Strong written and verbal communication and negotiation skills, with an ability to conduct difficult conversations
  • High analytical and investigative ability
  • Highly collaborative across departments (primarily Sales)
  • Experience in Financial Crime and Anti-Money Laundering/Counter-Terrorism Financing Act (AML/CTF) is highly desirable but not essential
