The role of a Student Ambassador at Notre Dame is to represent the University in a positive and professional manner at events, engage future students and other stakeholders, and share their experiences with diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent the University at events such as Open Days, university expos, and on-campus days for high school students.
- Engage future students and other stakeholders through proactive communication and sharing of personal experiences.
- Lead campus tours for individuals and groups of prospective students.
- Deliver workshops and presentations to groups of high school students and parents about Notre Dame, admissions, scholarships, transition into university, and what university is like.
- Undertake tasks such as organizing merchandise, data entry, event preparation, social media, and phone calls to students.
- Attend training, team meetings, and other development opportunities as scheduled during the year.
Requirements:
- Have completed at least one semester of study at the University by the end of 2025 and have at least one year of study remaining.
- Have a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or be willing to obtain one.
- Have excellent customer service skills.
- Be available to work at events outside of regular business hours, including some evenings and weekends.
About the Role:
Student Ambassadors may undertake work with various teams, including the Prospective Students Office, Indigenous Student Support & Success, and Student Equity.
