Job Title: Maintenance Professional

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team, providing essential engineering and maintenance support services on-site. You will lead and manage a Mechanical trades team.

This is an ongoing role working in our afternoon shift (14:30-22:21)

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Maintenance Services Mechanical & Refrigeration, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing maintenance solutions to improve plant and equipment reliability
  • Providing leadership and supervision for Mechanical Technicians; managing maintenance activities during facility shutdown periods
  • Ensuring preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities are performed safely and efficiently
  • Investigating process, plant, and equipment failures, determining the cause of failure, and developing permanent solutions
  • Providing technical advice in Manufacturing facilities on-site
  • Developing close working relationships with personnel in Operations, Electrical & Instrumentation, System Owner Group, Planning & Support Group, and Quality.
  • Maintaining training and documentation relevant to the mechanical team
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electromechanical or Process Engineering
  • Experience in a batch manufacturing environment, specifically in filling / packaging / palletising
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance engineering position
  • Experience in a GMP environment would be an advantage, but is not essential
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role overseeing contractors or trades
  • Knowledge of maintenance systems and familiarity with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
