Maintenance Strategy Specialist

The role involves overseeing mechanical maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime. Key responsibilities include leading the planning and execution of mechanical maintenance, implementing maintenance strategies and planning systems, managing schedules, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing spare parts and inventory, utilizing SAP and MS Office tools for planning and reporting, and driving continuous improvement.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to optimize equipment performance.
  • Lead a team in planning and executing mechanical maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
  • Manage the implementation of maintenance planning systems to improve overall plant performance.
  • Evaluate and improve maintenance processes to reduce costs and enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with technical experts to resolve complex maintenance issues.
  • Oversee the management of spare parts and inventory to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in maintenance operations.
  • Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure high-quality maintenance services.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in cement or heavy industry sector.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance planning, mechanical systems, and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in SAP and MS Office applications.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Ability to relocate to Melbourne, Australia.
