We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Melbourne - South. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a critical role in maintaining the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

Job Description:
  • Assist operators, line maintainers and production personnel with mechanical maintenance tasks as required.
  • Provide information and recommendations to Team Leaders and Managers to improve equipment uptime and extend equipment lifecycles.
  • Source and order parts to support planned maintenance and repairs.

You will work closely with our Engineering Manager to develop and implement effective preventative maintenance routines, overhaul scheduling and documentation.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in pneumatics and hydraulic systems, welding skills, and experience in a fast-paced maintenance environment.

Requirements:
  • Comprehensive understanding and experience of pneumatics and hydraulic systems.
  • Competent welding skills.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • 'Hands on' practical experience in a maintenance environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Occupational Health and Safety knowledge.
