Senior Claims Recovery Manager Job

Navigate a fast-paced environment and contribute to the recovery process by leading the strategic oversight of new and tail claims. This challenging role involves hands-on operational management, collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and innovative problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure NSW Ambulance meets notification obligations in accordance with legislative requirements
  • Drive effective recovery outcomes for complex claims involving psychosocial, workplace, or medical complexities
  • Collaborate with service providers and healthcare professionals to achieve optimal results
  • Develop and implement a program to support injured workers with vocational redeployment
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in managing complex workers compensation claims, preferably in a large organization or regulated environment
  • Strong understanding of NSW workers compensation legislation and evidence-based recovery at work principles
  • Leadership experience with ability to develop and manage a team in a high-volume work environment
  • Significant experience and understanding of best practice in managing psychological injuries and vocational rehabilitation
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
  • A teamwork and continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to utilize data to drive decision making
