Business Development Manager/Design Engineer Job Description

Projectory is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager/Design Engineer to join our team. This exciting opportunity allows for the perfect blend of innovation, engineering expertise and customer service.

As a Business Development Manager/Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing innovative HVAC systems that meet client needs, collaborating closely with our design teams.
  • Engaging with clients to understand their requirements, offering tailored technical solutions to meet their specific challenges.
  • Identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities to expand market presence and drive growth.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution, from design through to successful delivery.
  • Cultivating and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring their satisfaction and fostering repeat business.
  • Assisting in the preparation of proposals, quotes and project documentation to ensure accuracy and alignment with client expectations.
  • Applying a working knowledge of relevant NCC sections, industry standards and regulations pertaining to HVAC systems and the built environment, ensuring full compliance with all legislative requirements.
  • Staying ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to promote innovation and maintain competitive edge in the HVAC market.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum 5 years of experience in business development and client engagement, including a mix of HVAC design engineering and customer service/proposal submissions.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Victorian HVAC industry, with established connections with builders, consultants, tenants and developers.
  • A dynamic engineer with a strong mindset, passion for innovation and eagerness to learn.
  • Proven ability to combine engineering expertise to successfully manage projects from HVAC design and construction, from proposal to completion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with clients at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and commitment to quality.
  • A self-starter who thrives working autonomously but also excels in collaborative team environments.
