HVAC Design Engineer

We are seeking a senior mechanical engineer with experience in HVAC and plumbing/piping systems design to join our multi-disciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in planning, conducting, and coordinating detailed phases of HVAC and Plumbing design work, developing mechanical construction and equipment specifications, and supporting new project proposals with mechanical discipline scopes, budget estimates, and schedules.

  • Plan, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of HVAC and Plumbing design work.
  • Develop mechanical construction and equipment specifications.
  • Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques and criteria.
  • Perform engineering quality assurance checks of project designs.
  • Support new project proposals with mechanical discipline scopes, budget estimates, and schedules.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Sciences in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET Accredited Program.
  • Professional Engineer License is required.
  • Experience in HVAC and plumbing/piping systems design and associated engineering calculations.
  • Experience sizing and selecting HVAC and plumbing/piping equipment.
  • Proficient in editing and writing mechanical construction and equipment specifications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of ASHRAE, SMACNA, and NFPA standards.
  • Current passport.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Active Secret clearance required with eligibility to obtain Top Secret with SCI.
