Family Support Coordinator Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Support Coordinator to join our team at Interrelate. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality services to families and children.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others. You will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of our Children's Contact Service, promoting the service through community networking, and providing leadership and support to a small team of contact workers.
As a Family Support Coordinator, you will work closely with families and children to provide a safe and supportive environment for them to spend time together. You will also be responsible for preparing staff rosters, scheduling team meetings, and arranging group supervision.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or a related discipline, as well as experience working in a Children's Contact Service and/or with families and children experiencing separation or family breakdown. You will possess strong leadership skills, including responsibility for staff development and training, and demonstrated knowledge and understanding of child development, child protection, and the National Child Safe Standards.
You will also have experience in providing culturally appropriate support to meet specific needs of First Nations, LGBTQ+, and/or Culturally & Linguistically Diverse families, as well as customer relationship management (CRM) competency and IT savviness. Report writing, case notes, data collection, and data entry experience are also essential.
