Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Midwife to join our team at Mid North Coast Local Health District. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing safe, efficient, and effective midwifery care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality midwifery care to patients, adhering to current standards of midwifery practices and district policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in a flexible roster arrangement, including on-call duties to support the needs of our Maternity Group Practice.
  • Develop and maintain strong clinical problem-solving skills to maximize midwifery care and patient satisfaction.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams through the use of information technology and interpersonal skills.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and quality improvement within the team.
Requirements
  • Current registration as a Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and competency in the provision of midwifery care relevant to a continuity of midwifery care model.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment, prioritizing patient needs and outcomes.
  • Strong clinical communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call duties, to support the needs of the Maternity Group Practice.
